into the vortex

I hate buying into hype. That's why I'm kicking myself for being disappointed in the Oregon Vortex. I shouldn't have been expecting much in the first place. It reminded me of a place that I visited once in the Black Hills in South Dakota. There's a shack with the floor not level where a tour guide demonstrates how things roll the opposite way you think they should. There, they used a tennis ball. Here it was a golf ball.

The visual distortion is interesting and there were a few other demonstrations which made you go 'Huh,' but overall, it was too far to drive for a half hour of slight-of-the-eye tricks.
